This Privacy Policy describes how Coco Fighter ("we," "our," or "the App") handles information when you use our mobile application for iOS and Android (bundle / package identifier: com.cocofighter.app), including when distributed via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

By using the App, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Account and sign-in (optional)

If you choose to sign in with Google:

• We receive information that Google provides to the App as part of Google Sign-In, which may include:
  • A unique user identifier
  • Display name
  • Email address
  • Profile photo URL

We use this to identify your account and show your name and photo on features that require a signed-in user (for example, the leaderboard).

Google's use of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

2.2 Gameplay and leaderboard data

When you are signed in and play the game, we may store:

• Your highest score per game mode (e.g. Classic Tap, Coconut Catch)
• Associated account identifiers and profile fields needed to display the leaderboard (as described above)
• Timestamps of when scores were updated

This data is stored on our backend (Supabase) so we can show leaderboards and keep one best score per user per mode.

2.3 Multiplayer (optional)

If you use multiplayer features:

• We may create and store lobby records (e.g. lobby codes, host/guest identifiers, status) to match players and sync game sessions.
• Real-time features may process minimal session-related data needed for lobbies and in-game sync.

2.4 Device sensors (optional)

In Coconut Catch mode, if you enable tilt/gyro control, the App may access device motion (accelerometer) data only on your device to move the basket. We do not use this data to build a profile of you; it is used locally for gameplay when that option is on.

2.5 Information we do not intentionally collect

We do not require you to provide sensitive categories of data (such as health data) for core gameplay. We do not sell your personal information.

3. How we use your information

We use the information above to:

• Provide and operate the App and its game modes
• Authenticate you when you sign in with Google
• Maintain leaderboards and your best scores
• Enable multiplayer lobbies and related real-time functionality
• Improve stability and fix issues (e.g. error handling; we may use standard app diagnostics as provided by your platform unless stated otherwise)

4. Legal bases (where applicable, e.g. EEA / UK)

If laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on:

• Contract / steps at your request — providing the App, accounts, leaderboards, and multiplayer when you use those features
• Legitimate interests — securing the service, preventing abuse, and improving the App, where not overridden by your rights
• Consent — where we ask for it (for example, for optional permissions such as motion, where the operating system requires consent)

We retain leaderboard and account-related data as long as your account is used with the App or as needed to provide the service. We may delete or anonymize data when it is no longer needed, or when required by law.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

9. International transfers

If you use the App from outside the country where our servers or providers are located, your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries. We rely on appropriate safeguards where required by law (e.g. standard contractual clauses offered by our providers).
